What is MTSS and how does it lead to improved student learning?
MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) is a comprehensive framework that ensures every student—regardless of background, ability, or need—receives the right support at the right time. It integrates academic, behavioral, and social-emotional strategies into a unified system of prevention and intervention. While RtI focuses on identifying and supporting students with academic struggles, and PBIS supports behavioral needs, MTSS unifies these efforts into a single, cohesive framework.
